Newest Addition

Here I am the day before we went into the hospital.
I was definitely starting to get on the very uncomfortable side!

We got up early on Thursday, April 26th, to call EIRMC and see if they had room for me to come in that morning. Sure enough they did, and so we grabbed everything and headed to the hospital.
We arrived at about 6:45 am and started settling in.
Around 8 o'clock, I had my IV in and they started me on the Pitocin.
I started to have small contractions and they kept getting stronger and stronger as the day went on!

Eli was such an amazing support throughout the entire pregnancy, during labor, and now that we are home with baby Remi. I don't know if I could have done this all without him!

My family came in to see how I was doing! It was so good to have them there supporting us.
When I started feeling a lot of pain, I started saying, "I want my mom!" No matter how old you get, moms are always there to comfort us!
Hours passed, and finally I was dilated to a 5. The contractions were starting to be quite painful, and so I decided that it was time for my epidural.
It only numbed my left side at first, and so I could still feel the contractions 100% on my right side.
Not the best, and so they laid me on my right side and eventually it numbed the right side as well.
I couldn't even tell that I was having a contraction unless I looked at the screen.
My blood pressure dropped pretty low as well as the baby's heartbeat and so they had to put me on oxygen. Never in my life have I had so many cords and stuff on me while I was unable to move haha...

I was dilated at a 7 for about 4 1/2 hours...
So all we could do was wait..
and wait..
Good thing that Eli brought his lap top!
Finally Dr. Huggin's came in around 9 o'clock and said that I was finally dilated to a 9.5. Whoo!! It was about time! I didn't start pushing till almost 10 o'clock.

I am greatful that my mother in law was also able to be there and be apart of this amazing experience!

The doctor finally came back, and it was time!!!
I pushed for about 45 minutes. It was quite exhausting to say the least.
Right before the last push, I just started bawling! Everyone was asking "oh no, what's wrong? Are you in pain?"
I just replied that I was just happy and excited to meet my baby girl.

Finally at 10:59, our beautiful little girl,Remington Jo Coon, was welcomed into the world. <3
The moment they placed her on my chest, I felt an immediate bond. I felt the overwhelming feeling that I was supposed to be a mother, and that it was my purpose in this life.

Right when they placed her on my chest, all I could say was "I love you, I love you." Over and over again.

Girl Time

Today I got to spend some much needed girl time with some of my very best friends! I wanted to get together with them one more time before Remington gets here. We met up at Jalisco's Mexican Restaurant. I love spending time with these ladies. It brings back so many fun and silly memories from high school. It is great to catch up on all that is going on in our lives. It feels like we haven't even spent time apart.
We had delicious food and laughed our heads off, of course.
I am so lucky to have such amazing friends!

Love ya Sar, Ky, Jess, and Gube!!

Date Night

A couple of weekends ago, we had our monthly date night with the fam! We went to Billman's and had dinner. They had karaoke and a dance floor! Talk about a super fun time!
I just love my family so much! They are seriously the best in laws that anyone could ask for :)

Funny story: While we were all out on the dance floor with our hunnies, Katie goes "Eli, why are you so far away from Sav? Oh wait...her belly!!"
Haha plus there was a short joke included too...I was trying my hardest to reach around his neck. :)

Cameron and Katie's duet to Greece.
So much fun to listen to them!

As we were walking out, some guy says, "Seriously, who brings a pregnant chick to a bar?"
Haha well I didn't know it was exactly considered a bar, and apparently Eli brings a pregnant chick to the bar!!

We had such a great time. I definitely wouldn't mind doing this again.
I heart date nights. <3

Update!

Last Saturday we made the move out to Iona! We didn't think that it would be until that Monday, but we are so happy that we are out here finally! We had so much help from friends and family. Moving all of our stuff and cleaning and organizing the house! I am so grateful for the people that helped us out!

It was a very long day! We started moving stuff at noon, and didn't get done until 10:30 pm. We pulled our mattress out onto the living room floor and slept there for our first night. Since then we have pretty much unpacked everything.

The yard has definitely been our favorite part so far! We brought a picnic table from our old house and also a fire pit. We build some boxes for our garden as well! Hopefully we'll be planting it sometime this week! Eli has mowed the lawn and we got the trees trimmed up! He has loved having a yard! He is always out there working on something. ;) Our dog, Barney has definitely enjoyed it out here! He does a really good job at staying in the yard. He could run out there for hours and hours!

We attended our new ward on Sunday, and we felt so welcomed! I had a great time. We are in Eli's sister's ward and are so excited about that!! Being close to family has definitely been great! We are able to visit them and spend more time with them. It will be especially great for when Remington gets here.

Last night, we had my mom and two of my sisters over to make smores for FHE! I have been craving smores, and they definitely hit the spot. There is just something about sitting down by the campfire. It makes me SO excited for camping this summer. Eli and I are also proud owners of a pop up camper from my parents! We got to set it up the other day. It is going to be so much fun!

I have been feeling an overwhelming feeling of gratitude lately to my Heavenly Father. We have been very blessed to be able to move out here in time for the baby and to be surrounded by our amazing family and familiar faces. We are so blessed to have the gospel in our life, and to have felt the spirit so strongly in our home as we strive to study and pray as a couple. I am so thankful to have had conference this month and to feel so rejuvenated to be better.

April 9th marked 1 year of Eli being home!! We celebrated by going to our favorite place, The Great Wall, and The Hunger Games. We had such a great time spending this time together. We can't even believe it's been one year!

(This is where it gets a little cheesy...) :)

Today marks 10 months that we have been married!
I am so blessed to be married to my very best friend in the whole world. We have grown so close over the past ten months and everyday I can't imagine my life without Eli. We have had our ups and downs, but our trials have really made us stronger. I am thankful for his positive and uplifting attitude that helps me each day. When i'm feeling down and like an oompa loompa haha, Eli is there to tell me how beautiful that I am to him. I can't wait to see what else life has in store for us as we start our family. I am so thankful for the temple and to be able to be sealed to him forever.

We can't wait for Remington to be born! I have never been so excited for anything in my entire life. I am thankful that the Lord has entrusted us with one of his spirit daughters. I can't wait for this opportunity to become a mother and hold her in my arms. I especially can't wait to to see her in Eli's arms. :)

I went to the doctor today, and I might be induced next Wednesday! ONE WEEK! (Hopefully!)
I will get some pictures up of our new house very soon.

Moving? With a baby almost here?

On Monday, I had my doctor's appointment. They checked everything out, and I was already 80% thinned. She said that she is SO low, and gives me a couple of weeks max. She said that I will definitely not make it to my due date which is the 28th...CRAZY! And oh so exciting! I just can't wait to meet our baby girl.

So you know how we get to move out to Iona? Well it couldn't have been a more perfect time for this to happen...Yes, that is a little bit sarcastic ;)
I didn't think that this close to my due date we would be packing up our house. I had the house all ready, and I pictured just relaxing and waiting for her to come. Well, looks like that won't be the case.
We will be able to move in on Monday, so hopefully we can get semi-settled in before she is born!
No complaints though. I could not be happier to move out there.
We have so many fun plans for the yard and house this summer.
 I can't even wait!

I never posted pictures of our house right now so I decided to take some before I started packing up.
Don't mind the mess in some of the rooms... :)

Our living room

This is what you see when you first walk in.

BTW...Eli made the curtains. Don't be jealous of my amazing hubby anyone!

ooo probably should've made the bed haha.

Eli stuck his Batman up there...
Weirdo...

Anyways there was our first apartment together. We have had amazing memories here and have liked living here! It has been nice to be close to town, but we can't wait to be back out int he country!

Spring Fever!

We have definitely had our dose of spring fever these last couple of weeks! We love taking Barney to the park and getting out in the fresh air. We drove over to Tautphaus Park and spent some time throwing the frisbee and walking around in the sunshine!

He's such a good dog!

Eli and Barney playing fetch.

Me and my Love

I love when we have visitors! Olivia came and spent the night at our house, and we had a blast! We played scrabble and farkle, she helped me do some grocery shopping, BBQ, and me her and Eli went and saw "Lady in Black" at the theater!

We have also had some really fun game nights with friends! One night we went to our friends, Karly and Wade's and played Kings Crown...I think that's what it's called? And had a great visit with them!

Josh and Katie Kunde have been over for BBQ-ing and Settlers of Catan. Might I add that I actually won once when we played. I was so proud :)

Here is my 36 week picture!
We are starting the 4 week countdown and we could not be more excited!

I have stopped working now and I am just waiting for my baby girl to get here! We are all the way ready...well I guess as ready as we can be since we are new to parenthood :)

We found out some GREAT news as well... we're moving!!!
Yay!! I am so happy! We get to move out to a house in Iona that has a much bigger yard so that Barney can have plenty of room to run around without our anal neighbor on our case! We will be out there in a couple of weeks and we are going to put a garden in too!
We can't wait to be out in the country again and close to our families.

We have loved this little apartment. We have made so many memories here and have loved being so close to town. (Although, I go to the D.I. basically everyday which makes the chance of me spending money much greater ;) So maybe this will be good for me Eli thinks!

I better start packing. Anyone have any boxes? We have wayyy too much stuff for a couple that has only been married 10 months haha!
Maybe packing  is how I will put myself in to labor?? :)
