We started off our Easter Weekend at an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday morning.
It was actually pretty nice weather!
We went to a woman named Sharron Welker. She puts on this hunt every year. She
collects items all year long and has TONS of stuff. She covers the church's entire lawn for the older kid,
and then her backyard is for the younger kids.
We let Remi walk around and grab a few things!
All kids got pillow cases full of stuff. So awesome!
Eli was a cute daddy helping Remi gather her stuff.
Everyone gets in a circle and does the hokey pokey!
She was so excited at how much stuff there was and didn't know where to start!
All her loot! (like we need anymore toys!! :)
Yummy ice cream afterwards!
Remi and Mommy
Sweet shades that she got.
Going through Aunt Livvy's loot!
Easter morning was great. Nice and quiet, spent as a family. Eli didn't even have to work! :)
Remi got an Elmo sippy cup! (she's seriously obsessed!)
She also got eggs filled with little crackers, a new dress, bow and shoes, an elmo book, and bubbles! The candy may or may not have been for me and Eli.... ;)
Playing with bubbles!
Checking out this recess peanut butter egg!
Nakey baby chase! Trying to get her ready for church :)
Cute little bum hehe
Nails all painted for church!
Remi and daddy!
Families are forever!
So I am SO bummed I didn't get a picture of just Remi in her dress but such is life! I also forgot my camera when we went up past heise for a picnic! But we had a great time spending time with our families enjoying the sunshine!
I am so thankful for this Easter season where we can ponder the Resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ. The night before, Eli and I watched a video clip on the Resurrection and I could not help the tears from flowing. Life gets SO hard at times, but I can not even imagine how hard it would be without the hope of the atonement of our Savior and his promise of a Resurrection to each of us. I am thankful for my knowledge of this gospel and hope that I can remember this Easter Season all year round while I cherish EVERY moment with my family! <3
This past month Remington has learned a lot of new things once again. I am going to start calling her my little parrot, because I am not joking when I say that this girl can copy almost ANYTHING that you show her within minutes. That is a good thing and a bad thing! lol. I always want to make sure I put forth a great example for her to follow. She is so strong willed. I want to make sure she is strong willed in all the right things. :)
So, this month we have:
-When you ask her where her teeth are she starts brushing them with her hand (She uses her little
pink toothbrush everyday too!)
-Blows kisses over and over again! Sometimes hits her self a little hard haha
-Know how to give a high five
-Says bath and points to the bathroom and tries to rip her cloths off
-When I ask her where her pretties are, she strokes the side of her head
-There is a Taylor Swift song called "I knew you were trouble" Someone made a parody to it with a goat yelling. Anyways, when we sing the line right before the goat, Remi yells "ahhh!" right after. Funniest thing ever! See below for both videos. :)
-We don't have stairs, but Remi is good at climbing them at Grandma Patsy's!
-Loves to say the word "hi" to everyone and everywhere we go!
-Took her first steps all by herself this last month
-Is still sleeping 11 hours every night
-Eating like a champ now! Bread, noodles, pears, bananas, green beans, olives, lasagna, cheese, you name it! She loves just about anything we give her!
-Gets excited when daddy gets home, hugs him, and then shows he ALL of her toys that she played with that day.
The count down begins for her one year birthday and many more to come!
Last week, the weather finally cooperated so that I could take Remi to the park. Here are pictures from one
of the days that we went. We invited my little sisters and their dog to come along with us.
We had a lot of fun playing and watching Remi explore!
I always find it so fascinating to watch my sweet girl experience new things as she grows.
This summer is going to be a blast!
She LOVES the swings!!
They made a train down the slide. Remi thought it was the coolest thing ever.
Oh Barney. What would we do with out your hyperactive crazy personality. He loved running around and never stops, yet he still seems to have all the energy in the world once we're done!
Going down the slide with Aunt Katie!
Little squinty eyes from Rem hehe!
Remington and her Aunt Dani.
Remi has gotten a lot more brave at walking on her own! We had fun watching her walk in the grass!
Kisses for my girl.
"This is awesome!" Was the caption my sister Katie gave this picture :) She cried so hard when it was time to go and I took her out of the swings!
And here is Max. Him and Barney were playing around together.
I keep wishing and dreaming of summer where we don't need hats a coats and we can play outside all day! Can't wait!
Remi started taking steps around 10 1/2 months! She is a little over 11 months now, and she is standing up and walking from couch to couch. She gets nervous, but she has gotten a lot more brave as the weeks have gone by! I can't even believe how big she is. We will soon have a little midget walking around our home. :)
Plus, most of these are taken from my phone on random outings, so excuse the bad quality!
I sometimes catch myself saying that I take way too many pictures, but honestly, Remi is growing TOO fast
and these pictures are what I have to cherish for the rest of my life!
I love looking back and seeing how much she has grown.
What a little character she becomes once the camera turns on!
Here is her cute snow hat. She loves wearing hats and has so many!
Dinner up at Grandma and Grandpa Coons! Everette and Eli holding each other's babies!! Remi and Chloers!
She gets on her horse and starts bouncing ever so slightly when the music turns on. Oooo I love her!
This day was NO fun! We had a few friends over to have pizza and play games. During dinner, Eli fell off of his chair and hit is head on a crate. Bruised and cut up his entire face. He passed out when he hiccuped supposedly. He fell to the ground, eyes in the back of his head, and laid there shaking. Josh was there luckily to help pick him up. Eli finally woke up and seemed to be OK. I, on the other hand, was an absolute MESS! I couldn't' stop the tears from coming. I insisted we take him to the Dr. everything checked out to be fine...I am still nervous though!
Sweet goggle "shades" that Remi picked up!
Not the best pictures, but here Remington was "eating" (more like playing) with refried beans! She loved them!
One of my most favorite things to do is watch her when she is sleeping. I go in to her room and just look at her and think to myself how lucky I am to be her mama. Such a little angel when she's asleep ;)
Nakey baby on the loose!! She crawled away as fast as she could so that she could watch her daddy play games! Cute little bum!
Just watching Sesame Street. When ever I turn it on, She says "La da!!" That means Elmo for those of you who are too cool for this show ;) "La la la la, Elmos' world!"
Cute little pig tails, hanging out with Olivia!
This man right her is my VERY best friend. When I am having my hardest days, he knows just what to say to help me feel so special and loved Love you E!
I didn't get a post up about Valentines Day, but here is one of the pictures from that awesome night! We started off by going to Big Judd's! DELISH! Then we drove up the Hesie Hot Springs and soaked in the hot pools. I seriously felt like a little kid again, dunking each other under, racing and doing flips! Such a great night with my sweetie!
We went to the visitor's center awhile back for FHE. We saw the video "God's Plan for his Families." That was the second time I saw it, and it still brought tears to my eyes. I am so happy to have started our little family.
Such a beautiful girl. I am serious when I say that Remi is going to be a heart breaker. Boys will be chasing her, I know it! She's just so gorgeous!
Remi went through a little stage where she REFUSED to let me feed her. So, I handed the spoon over and let her dive in. She actually managed to get most of it into her mouth even though it doesn't seem like it here!
Little mooch! Eli walked in to the room with a plate of lasagna and Rem was crawling around after him saying "mmm! mmm!" What can I say...my lasagna ROCKS! :)
What a great day! Got to see Carly give her talk before she left on her mission! I just love this girl so much and couldn't have asked for a better friend! She's definitely strengthened my testimony and has made me want to do better!
Saying good bye to Aunt Car Car!
Fun times in Wally World!!
I hate that she looks so big in this picture!!!! But love it at the same time. What a smart happy little girl we have.
Can't even stand her blue eyes. Thanks for being my buddy and hanging out with me everyday Rem! I love you!
<3
Watching Dani at her cheer comp. and Remi passed out on Aunt Katie's lap. :)
Going for a walk! All bundled up!!
Uh oh!! Daddy left his oreo milkshake out... and somebody found it!
This picture is one of my favorites. Remington absolutely LOVES her aunt Liv. She gets very very excited when she sees Oliva.
This would be my husband. Eli got a longboard recently, and uses it to exercise Barney. He goes to the park and makes Barney pull him around a couple of times. Barney ends up sleeping all day!
Watching Aunt Dani's cheer competion! Remi loved the builds and pom poms! She was so entertained! Great job Dan dan. You make the best little cheer leader! I am proud at how much you have improved!
Well there you have it! A little catch up on our life this winter! We are definitely getting spring fever so bring on the SUN!
