Christmas festivities

Me and Eli had such an amazing Christmas this year, especially because it was our first Christmas as a family...not spent on the phone...thousands of miles away. ;)
We did a lot of fun things with our families. It was so great spending time with them.
We had the Coon/Anderson Christmas party. Bread bowls, soup, and cookies! We played a fun white elephant game and visited with our family.

My cute little nephews in time out haha :)

Anderson Family

Coon Family

We got to go to Happy's Chinese Restaurant and the movie "Adventures of Tin Tin" with my side of the family. It was fun to spend time with them and try all of the delicious Chinese food!

Christmas Eve Pj's!!!
Me and Eli opened up our pajamas and then read the Christmas story from the bible. This will be a family tradition that we will carry on in our family! We made a bed on the floor in front of the beautiful, lit up Christmas tree and cuddled all night!

Christmas morning was GREAT! We woke up and opened our gifts from each other and last but not least...our HUGE stockings!! We went to the dollar store and picked out some stuff to fill them with.

On black friday we got our main present... a new TV!

We went out to Eli's parents for traditional CREPES!! SO yummy!! Loaded mine with nutella and strawberries.

Jerry's amazing shirt that we bought him...

We went home and got ready for church. Eli sang in Cameron and KAties ward. Him, Cameron, Everett, and Jerry sang "It came upon a Midnight Clear" and it was beautiful. I love that Christmas was on Sunday. It reminded us what Christmas was really all about.

We went our to my parents and visited with them. I got a new sewing machine from my mom and I can't wait to start using it. Now that I am married with a baby on the way, I have so many fun projects that I can start and use my sewing machine to do!!

Me and Eli came home and had a delicious Christmas dinner together. Steak, potatoes and gravy, salad, little smokies, and sparkling cider! We spent the rest of the night cuddling and watching National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. SO funny!

We had such a great holiday spending time with friends and family. I am so happy and feel so blessed to be married with a baby girl on the way, to have a loving Savior, and the gospel in my life.
I hope everyone had an amazing holiday!

~DI Goodies~

I have been going to the DI so much lately! I have been finding some really great things. I can't post the "presents" that I have gotten from there quite yet, but I will show you some of the other things!

This mirror is one of my most favorite finds in a long time!

I LOVED it SO much, and it was only...2 dollars! I want to put it in my baby girls room. It is so beautiful and elegant!

Then I found some onesies for Remi. I hadn't bought any clothes yet, and I am so glad I can finally get stuff now that my baby is not an "it" anymore ;)

These pictures are not very good at all. Our camera died, and so all I had to use was my phone. Anyways, the one on the left is pink and white (if you can't tell.) They are both in really great shape and were only $1 each!

I found these socks for only $1 a pack. I know that they are a little big and won' fit my baby girl for a bit, but I couldn't resist. They are brand new and SO cute!

And last but not least...I found these cute, red table mats that are perfect for the Christmas season. They were only 50 cents each. Couldn't resist once again!

I love that I live so close to the DI! I find myself wanting to go everyday. I get so excited because I never know what goodies I will find that day.
Can't wait to get more things for my baby girl at AMAZING prices!!

6 months!!!

We were married on June 17th,2011.
We have reached our six month mark, this month, on the 17th!
I cannot believe it has been six months since Eli and I got married. It has been the best six months of my life so far! We have been able to do so much together and make so many lasting memories for our family.

We moved into our first apartment together
We got two new additions to our familiy; our puppies
I finished another semester of school
Eli got a new job and is getting ready to start school at EITC in the spring
We had our first Fourth of July, Halloween, and Thanksgiving as a family
Best of all...we found about our newest addition; Remington Jo

I have enjoyed every minute of being married to my best friend. We have already grown so much closer and learned many new things about each other. I am so thankful to have Eli in my life and to share our lives together. I can't wait to meet our baby girl and see what else life has to offer us in the coming years!

Wretched Sweaters!

Last weekend we were privileged to attend the first annual "ugly sweater" party at Shanna's and Mike's! Earlier that day, me and Katie went searching some thrift stores for the perfect and most ugly sweaters ever. We hit the jackpot at the store across from DI. We picked out Cameron and Eli's sweaters for them. (I made sure I got something VERY wretched for him. I found a tight green turtle neck and then a red sweater, that had a snowman on it, to go over it. I might add that the sweater was sort of a belly shirt! I found a turtle neck that had faded poinsettias on it, and then I found a beautiful red sweater vest to go over the turtle neck. Eli was such a good sport when he came home and saw what he was supposed to put on! ;)

We made delicious individual pizzas and had tons of yummy treats! It was so much fun visiting and laughing with everyone. I loved the white elephant game. I ended up with a DVD set of some classic cartoons, and Eli got a sweet file folder for all of our bills and such.
It was a really fun night, and I can't wait to do it again next year!

It's a....GIRL!

20 week picture!!

On December 15th, we FINALLY had our ultrasound to see what we were having! We got in and as soon as we started, the tech told us that she was pretty sure that we were havinga girl. I have had a feeling that it was a girl pretty much the whole time, but I was still in shock. I think that finding out what we were having made it all seem a little bit more real. The tech went over the anatomy of her body with us and it was SO neat. I couldn't believe that all of that was growing and developing inside my body. It really made me realize that Heavenly Father has a plan for everything and everything is in perfect order.
As soon as I saw her little baby foot, I just had tears rolling down my cheeks. She looks so cute and I could feel so much love already. I kept looking at Eli and he was grinning so big. He told me afterwards that this was the best day of his life. :)
During the ultrasound, she was face down so we were told that we weren't going to be able to get a profile picture. I was pretty disappointed, but right at the very end she turned and we got the most perfect picture! Immediately Eli said "She has definitely got her mommy's nose. We could see her little nose, lips and chin. SO cute!
I could not stop staring at the picture for the next couple of days. We went and showed our family members and shared the news with them!
Our little Remington will be her in no time at all and we could not be happier to start our family together!

Baby Isis.

Eli surprised me with an early Christmas present about a week ago! A BABY PUPPY!!
Her name is Isis (greek goddess) and she is a Malamute/Timber wolf Husky. She is now 7 weeks old and the cutest thing ever!

She is SOOO fat. She has fat rolls hanging off of here whole body LOL! You can tell she is going to be a huge dog already becuase her paws are already pretty big. She likes to cuddle sometimes, but most of the time she is either sleeping under our bed or she is super hyper and wants to play.
Her and Barney are best freidns. I think that she kind of annoys him sometimes because she loves biting his ears and legs.

I am so excited that we were able to get her because a couple other family members also got some from the same liter. Excited to see how BIG she is going to get! ;)

Decorating our Tree

It was so exciting to be able to have our first family tree together. We decided to organize and rearrange our living room before we put it up so that we could make room for it. We put it all together and then it was time to decorate!

Eli bought us the COOLEST stockings this year. They are HUGE!!

Here is the tree all lit up. Not the best picture of it, but it is very pretty! We even had a sleepover in our living room in front of the beautiful tree!
Can't wait for our first Christmas together!

~Fall Time~

Here is a catch up on all of the fun things we did this fall!
(I forgot to mention in my summer posts that we got a new addition to our family. His name is barney and he is a black lab/German shepherd. We found him on craigslist. A family had picked him up from the pound right before he was about to be put down. They gave him a foster home until we came along. He is about 1 1/2 years old and can be quite a handful. He is such a fun and smart dog!)

We had SO much fun this fall time! At the beginning of October, I got the chance to go to the semi-annual scrapbook retreat with Eli's side of the family. We went to a beautiful cabin in Ogden. We had so much fun staying up late, tons of junk food, crafting like crazy, and laughing till we were crying! It was much needed girl time. I made a gift for my mom..(can't tell yet, it's not Christmas yet. And then I made some cute diaper wipe cases!)

Here is the view from the back porch

And here are the diaper wipe cases

Later in October, I got the chance to go hunting with Eli. We spotted TONS of deer...sadly a lot were on private land. :( We even got out and hiked quite a bit. It was fun driving around with all of the beautiful fall colors, talking and laughing with my best friend.

Football game!! Shelley vs. Bonneville

Carving pumpkins!
We had so much fun! I laughed so hard when the stem on Eli's pumpkin broke and it took him awhile to get the top out haha. His was Batman, of course, and mine was just a weird, freaky face ;)
We roasted the seeds and ate them. Yummy!

A couple of nights before Halloween, we decided to have a party with our friends. We had yummy baked potatoes and everyone dressed up in awesome costumes. After dinner we went to the Haunted Theater in Shelley. It was a blast! My little sisters helped scare in it, and it was funny when they tried to scare us ;) Afterwards we went back to our house and played games. It was such a good night!

Eli spoiled me on my birthday! He got me a new set of scriptures, a waver, and some new downeast shirts. He made me a yummy breakfast in the morning and then later that night we went on our date! We went to a movie and we were the only ones in the theater. Empty especially for us ;) Then we went to Great Wall for dinner. YUM! We went and shopped around town and spent the night together. I didn't feel very well the rest of the night, but Eli took such good care of me.

Thanksgiving was great. Two dinners in one day...yes please!! We went up to Grandma and Grandpa Coons for dinner and then to my parents. We played games and had lots of pie. Here are some of the cute turkey's me and my sisters made. Super easy but way cute!

Breaking Dawn Premiere with all the Coon sisters and friends!!
We started the night off with a party at Katie's. We had fake teeth and yummy pizza!
Then we went to Edwards for the midnight showing. It was...interesting...but good!
Such a fun fun night!

My little sister Katie did such a great job in Miss Bonneville. It was great to go and watch her. She sang beautifully and looked gorgeous!!

This fall was great and filled with so many memories. Can't wait for the Christmas season!
