3D Ultrasound

Here I am at about 25 1/2 weeks. Excuse the fat cheeks and cheesy smile. I had just gotten back from the dentist where my ENTIRE mouth was numbed. It took about 3 1/2 hours to get the feeling back lol!
Finally getting the little baby belly! Eli calls me "rollie pollie ollie" whenever I get out of bed in the morning. :)

I cannot even believe how close we are to meeting our baby girl, Remington. It really hit me, that we are actually having a baby, when I saw her on the 3D ultrasound. What a blessing and amazement technology is today. I can't believe we were able to see her so clearly.

Here are some pictures of her cute little face.( The printer ran our of ink before the tech could print the pictures of her legs and feet, but she will have them for us next time!)

This is my favorite picture of her. You can see her face so clearly.
It's funny because when we showed Eli's dad he said that she has the Coon lip for sure...
Then when we showed my side of the family, they all said that she definitely has the Mallard lip.

She is beautiful.

Profile view-- At the previous ultrasound, we were sure that she had her mommy's nose. After looking at this view, I am starting to think that she has daddy's! :)

Her cute little hands.
She was sucking on them at the beginning of the ultrasound.

We cannot wait to meet her! Not too much longer! We worked on the baby room today. It is starting to come together great. I am so thankful for all of the help people have given us by supplying us with some of our baby supplies. It helps more than people know.

About 13 weeks to go...Ready or not!

Eli's Birthday

Eli's birthday was on the 24th and he turned the big 22!!!
I got up in the middle of the night to let the dogs out, and so I hung up a birthday sign in the living room for Eli to wake up to!

I made him his favorite breakfast...~FRENCH TOAST~
He got ready and went to work so I stayed at home and made his cake.
I stopped by the Sandwich Tree and grabbed lunch to take over to the office!

It was DELISH!! And Eli was so excited that I got that for lunch.
I hung out at work with Eli for a bit. We played some Farkle (our new favorite game) and I also helped him study for his EMT class that he started the night before.

I set up a surprise dinner at Pizza Pie Cafe for when Eli got off of work. He thought that it was just him and I going, but I actually had his family and mine waiting there to surprise him!
We had a delicious dinner and a great time visiting.

He has been wanting to see Tower Heist and so we went and watched it at Paramount. It was really good and I would definitely recommend it!

After the movie, we went home and I sang Happy Birthday to Eli all by myself :) He blew out his 22 candles, and we ate tons of strawberry shortcake!! SO YUMMY! Thanks Hanna for the recipe!

And last but not least...presents!
He got one of his presents pretty early...an android tablet!
I got him a couple new pairs of jeans, some Dr. Pepper, and made him a pillow and quilt.

I got a sewing machine from my mom for Christmas, and this quilt is the first big project I have made with it. I am so proud of myself and I am so pleased at how it turned out!! Here are a few pictures. Of course it's a Batman... :)

Happy Birthday honey!!

Start to a good year...

This year has been pretty amazing so far. As always, I wrote down some New Year's Resolutions for myself. Things such as: Personal prayer/scripture study, write in my journal, read the Ensign each month, zumba, and craft more and more!

I would have to say that they are all going pretty good so far. My sister in law Katie sent out a great chart for reading the Book of Mormon by April. So far I am on track. It really has made such a difference in my life each day. I need to get back on track with my journal, but I will admit I am still slacking in that area!

Me and Eli also set some goals as a family.
One of those was exercise, and it has been going great. For FHE last week, we went to the YMCA and played racquetball. I am very proud to say that even though I am six months prego, I still managed to keep up with him. We had a great time!
Eli has also been going and playing basketball on Tuesdays with the Elders Quorum.
I have been to Zumba a couple of times and hope to go a little more.
Exercise really does help us feel happier and healthier!!

Another goal that we had as a family was to get into a home this year!
We started to look at houses and even went into see how much we could be qualified for.
As soon as we sat down with the bank, we both had the strongest feeling that it was not our time to buy a house.
This led us to thoughts about what Eli should do for work, school, etc.
We thought about possibly moving out of state for another job...which led to the decision that Eli should sign up for school at EITC. So today we went in and signed him up for his EMT course!
It is crazy how everything works out.
If we wouldn't have started looking for house, I don't know if we would have decided that he should sign up for school right now, THIS month.

He starts his course on January 23rd- May 4th.
It will be MWF from 6-10 pm.
This is a blessing. He will still be able to work, and he will be done with it soon after we have Remington.
Everything went so smoothly, and the timing was all perfect. I know that the Lord really does answer our prayers. When we are doing what is right, he will lead and guide us to exactly what we are supposed to do. I am so proud of Eli! I think I am more excited than he is about him starting school! ;)
I know that he will do a great job and I can't wait to see what the future holds for us!

I love the D.I.!!!

WOW! I have got some really great finds these last few weeks!!

Here is one of my purchases...

I got these SUPER cute boots. They are so cute, comfortable, warm, and best of all they were only $6!!

I also got some clothes for Remi. They were all in such great shape. Looked brand new...some were brand new with tags! I got six onesies, one pair of pants, two sleepers, one bib, and one shirt for only $13! Aren't they soooo cute? I can't even wait to dress up our sweetie.

All of this for a whopping $19!!!

I only found one thing on my next trip, but I would say it was well worth it because this clothes hamper looks great in our bedroom. (And we needed one bad!)
It was only 4 dollars! :)

My next purchase was a huge hit!

I found these super cute shirts (comfortable and great for my belly) Downeast and Roxy!
$5 each!!

I was excited to find this electric mixer. It's no kitchen aid, but it sure "beats" using a wooden spoon with my hand. (No pun intended ;))
Looks brand new and only $3!

I have decided to start collecting a book or two each time that I go to D.I. to add to my book collection. I want to have tons of great books for my kids to have!
This one is really cute. It's a "spin along" book. "The Wheels on the Bus."

I got these burp rags for .50 each. They are brown and pink but you can't tell because my camera is not the best. (Sorry!) They are cute cute!

I got some hangers as well! 12 of them for $1!
All of this for $16!!!

And last but not least...We didn't find this at the DI, but at the thrift store across from the DI. We were getting ready to leave and we heard someone say kirby. We hear these people talking about how great kirby's work and how much they love them. They start to say, "And did you know..the Kirby shop here in town is still actually open!" Haha it was pretty funny. Eli goes, "Yeah my dad owns that!"
So anyways, we tested it out and it works SO good. It is really old, but we're not sure what year yet. It even came with all of the attachments and a polishing kit for..drumroll please... $15!!

Yay for THRIFT STORES~!!

Recent Crafts...

Here are some of the crafts I have done recently and in the past. I have decided to try and up my craftiness this year especially since I got a new sewing machine for Christmas from my mom! I am especially excited to start making things for Remington.

Here is a chair revamp that I did a while ago. I found this chair at the DI for about $5.

It didn't take much to turn it into something much better looking.

I unscrewed the seat and back rest and whipped out the black spray paint.

It took a couple of coats and it was looking great.
I bought some fabric at walmart and stapled it over the old seat and back rest.
As soon as the paint was dry, I put the chair back together!

Super excited about this even though it was so simple. It was one of the first "projects" that I had taken on, and I couldn't be happier!

BEFORE&AFTER....

The next project I am posting was a very easy project as well.
I found this old ironing board at DI for $3.
It was so ugly but I had some fabric that I knew would look really good.

I took off the cover and redid it with black and white polka dots!
TA-DAH!

Next project that I am very proud of is my book page wreath! I got this idea from Katie and Sharla and couldn't wait to make one of my own!

I didn't take step by step pictures...sorry! But It is really simple. You tape a swimming noodle together to form a circle. You do one layer of pages (folded however you would like) on the back. Then flip it over and fill the rest in! It can be as full as you would like.
Here is the final product... (please excuse the way my wall is painted...it's interesting.)

I can't wait to start doing more crafts to decorate our home and for my baby girl!

Welcome 2012!

I am so excited to see what this year has in store for us. This past year has been a really great year for us. Eli finished out the last half of his mission and did an amazing job. I got a semester of college done and earned some money working various jobs. We were finally reunited after two LONG LONG years... :) We got married, got our first apartment, and found out about the newest addition to our family!

The coolest thing about New Years Eve is that it is the day we met and had our first kiss in 2005 at Blast Off. We also got engaged here! So this year we celebrated six years since we met! It is crazy that that much time has gone by since we met. Then again...so much has happened that I CAN believe it has been that long.

I have told the story many times about us meeting, but here it is again in a nutshell!
My mom basically forced me to go to Blast Off for the stake New Years Eve party with some girls from my ward. (It's not that I didn't want to go with them, but I was just used to having a party at my Grandma's every year. That year they decided to do an adult party only.)
So I ended up going and having a really good time. I met Eli and the rest of the night was history haha. We played lazer tag, mini golf, rock climbing, and arcade games. For the countdown, we all stood around with our streamers and confetti to welcome the new year. At midnight Eli kept asking for a New Years kiss, but I just smiled and shook me head. He settled for a kiss on the cheek...until we went outside...went for the lips!
I was on cloud nine for the rest of the night. We have been best friends ever since and now are happily married!

For New Years Eve this year I got to have a girls date with my friends! Me, Kylie, Sara, Jessica, and Brianne went out to Cafe Rio for lunch. It was so good to sit and visit and laugh with all of my friends. I have missed them a lot!
Later that night, me and Eli we out to Pizza Pie Cafe for dinner. It was DELISH!
Then we went and saw Footloose at the Paramount. I love our date nights and looked forward to it all day. We went home and played Mario Party on the Wii and Scrabble.
We watched the ball drop and counted down until midnight. I FINALLY got a New Years Eve Kiss from my love! )been waiting for that for a long time)

We had such a great night spending time together. I am thankful for all of the blessings we have seen in 2011 and look forward to this year ahead of us. One of our main goals for the year is to get into our own home! We also can't wait to meet our sweet baby girl and welcome her into our family.
Can't wait to see what lie ahead for us and our family!!
