Baby bump update!

I thought I would put together a little collage of all my pregnancy pictures throughout Brixton's pregnancy!
I also have a survey that I filled out about the pregnancy.

I did the same for Remi, and you can view hers here....
http://crazycoons.blogspot.com/2012/05/remingtons-pregnancy-survey.html

I can't believe my pregnancy is already over, and I already have a 7 week old baby girl!
I am so thankful to be a mother to two wonderful girls.
I think that I have the best job there is!

PREGNANCY SURVEY-- BRIXTON LYLA COON
Age you were when you found out you were pregnant? 21 yr. old
Did you experience any pregnancy symptoms? I was very nauseous the whole first semester and nothing ever sounded good to eat.
How far along were you when you found out? Almost 4 weeks
Was your little one a surprise or planned? Planned
What is your EDD? June 16, 2014
How many weeks are you currently? 38 weeks and 2 days
Is this your first child? If not, how many do you have? This is our second. We have a 2 year old daughter, Remington!
What was your first reaction when you found out you were pregnant? We had been trying for about 7 months and were not getting pregnant. That day I had a feeling to take a test even though I didn’t think I would be. I was so shocked and couldn’t believe it!
Who was the first person your told that you were pregnant? Eli Coon, my husband
How far along were you when you felt your baby kick for the first time? Around 20 weeks this time I think
What month did you find out you were pregnant? October
Are you having a boy or girl? Girl
What cravings have you had? I couldn’t eat much at first it seemed without getting sick, but I did like to eat lots of fresh fruit, mostly strawberries. Towards the end it was more sweets, hostess cupcakes. I also craved a fountain drink of sprite and a full cup of ice to crunch on!
Do you have a named picked out? Brixton Coon. Not positive on a middle name yet, but we are thinking Lyla.
When did you decide on a name? Who picked? We decided on a name a month or two in to my pregnancy. Eli picked it out. It was the name of the first area of his mission in England. I didn’t like it at first but it grew on me and now I love it!
What pregnancy discomforts have you experienced? Things were definitely a lot more uncomfortable this time. I was very nauseous at the beginning. I had really bad acid reflux though, just like I did with Remi, sometimes worse though. It’s been hard to sleep at night and my legs are really restless. I definitely experienced a lot more sharp pains and cramping this time.
What pregnancy related books have you read?  I haven’t read any books this time, but I have read a lot of articles that I found on pinterest. A lot about transitioning Remi to be a big sister.
Any weird pregnancy dreams? I had a weird one where Eli and I were living in western times. We were about to be attacked by Indians and so Eli and I (and some other people) hopped on our horses and snuck up on the Indians to defend where we lived!
Who do you want in the delivery room? We want it to be just Eli and I this time.
Are you planning on nursing? Yes
Do you plan on having anymore little ones? We will for sure have a 3rd, and then see from there.
Do you think the baby will look like you or daddy? I think she will have her own look just like Remington did.
What place and time did you find out you were pregnant? I can’t remember the exact date sadly, but I think it was the second week in October. It was in the morning before Eli went to work, here at our new home in Iona!

Pizza and an X-ray

So since Brixton was born, she has been having the symptoms of acid reflux.
She chokes so bad when she eats that sometimes she even stops breathing for a few seconds.
Luckily they put her on zantac at 1 weeks old, and ever since then, I can tell that it helps with the pain tremendously! She still spits up, but at least it isn't hurting as bad.
Anyways, the past couple of weeks, whenever she eats she will immediately projectile puke all of her food out! I'm not talking normal spit up either. Out the nose, gagging and choking and not breathing.
I talked to her doctor and he wanted to get an xray done to make sure that every thing was ok.

We took her in today to check it out. Eli had to stay in the waiting room with Remi and I took Brixton back.
They made her drink this chalky stuff through a bottle, so that they could watch it go down and see what happened. She did not like it one bit! And I don't blame her either.
They had to make the hole in the bottle super big so that we could get some in her.

Turns out that there is nothing horribly wrong, thank goodness!
I am still worried about the puking, but it hasn't happened that bad for a few days now.
I will just say a little prayer, giver her her medicine, and watch her like a hawk!

Apparently she is healthy...do you see this chunk a lunk???
She's gaining plenty of weight and eats like a champ. :)

After her appointmnet, we went and grabbed a pizza and lemonade and went over to a park in town.
Remi had fun playing on the toys and getting her energy out! Afterwards, we ventured to walmart to get some grocery shopping done. Eli is a life saver for coming with me. I have gone with both girls and it is a littl tough ;)
The cart gets so full that Remi has to walk. I look over and she's chowing down on some green beans! LOL. At least it was something healthy, and don't worry...I bought them :)

I love this picture of these two. I would have to say that Remi is definitely a daddy's girl!
He woke up and went to grab Remi from her room.
She said," Daddy not going to work?"
Eli says nope I am staying home today."
Remi says, "Then I don't have to miss you! High five!"

I am seriously so in love with my little family and grateful to have all 3 of them in my life.

Iona Days

Ever since I moved out to Iona, I have always looked forward to the Iona Days celebration.
I am so thankful that we were able to buy a house out here. It really is an amazing place to raise a family!

We started off the day by watching Eli play in his 3 on 3 basketball tournament!
He went a little early to register and play at 10. We went to the park and sat in the shade and cheered him and his team on. In between games, me and my sisters went and joined in on the zumba!

Remi got to get her face painted, and make some free crafts that they had set up for the kids.
We had a free hotdog and hamburger lunch too.
Brixton was such a good girl and slept most of the time.
Remi had fun playing on the toys and running around.

Eli did so good at basketball. I love watching him because it has been a while since I have.
He's pretty cute if I do say so!
His team was him, Josh, Jason, and Justin Kunde. They made it to the championship game, but right in the middle of it, Eli went up for a rebound and landed on his ankle. He broke it back in high school, and it was hurting pretty bad. He got up and walked it off, but it was sore for a couple days.

After the game we went home and we ALL took a 1 hour nap. I must say it was DIVINE!
later that evening, we went to Josh and Katie Kunde's baby shower. They are due pretty soon and we are way excited for them. They are such great friends and we will miss them when they move to Utah next month!
Remi went with my parents to the dinner and enjoyed it! When I picked her up I asked what she had for dinner. "Watermelon and a cookie!"
She really liked the live music they had too!
We were sad we missed the dinner, but had a great time at the baby shower and were glad Remi still got to
go!

Here is my 79 year old Grandpa Mallard playing on the zip line.
Yes, he pretty much rocks!

Baby B is one month old!

On July 9th Brixton turned 1 month old!
Is she seriously one month already???
We are loving being a family of four!
Remi took a couple of weeks to get adjusteded to Brixton, but now she absolutely loves her baby sister.
She will run and give her a binky when she fusses, she gets raelly excited when Brixton is awake. She always says in her cute little voice, "Brixton eyes are open!"
When Brixton cries, Remi rubs her head or belly and says, "sh sh sh sh sh"
Definitely melts my heart seeing these two together!

Brixton had a rough time sleeping when she first came home. She had pretty bad acid reflux, but once we got her on some medicine at one week old, she has done a lot better and we can tell it doesn't hurt her quite as bad! Thank goodness, poor thing!

At about 2 1/2 weeks old, Brixton started sleeping from about 10-2 or 3 in the morning. Then she would stay up until about 4 and got back to bed until 7 or 8.
She does this pretty consistently, so we are hoping it is how it stays! ;)
From day one, Brixton nursed so well. She is still doing very well and nurses about every 2 hours, sometimes 3. At her month check up, she weighed a whoppin' 10 lbs. 4 ounces and 21 inches! She is so healthy and growing so much!

She has strong muscles and is good at holding her head up for a little bit.
She can follow our faces and voices when we talk to her as well.
She loves to sleep in her bouncy chair and boppy. We put her under her toys for the first time this week and she was so excited. She got big eyes and tried so hard to reach up and touch them.
She likes having nice warm baths, and she falls asleep instantly when we put her in her car sear.
We have already been to the splash park and the cabin and she's done amazing!
She is so beautiful and I love every little thing about this sweetie!

She is such a little cuddle but most of the time! I have loved every minute of having her in our family.
We love you Brixton! Happy one month.

4thof July festivities

Our 4th festivities started out the night before with painting our finger and toe nails red white and blue!
We even painted Brixton's tiny little toenails. Oh man she's so cute!

Remi loved them!

All three of us matching

Unfortunately, Eli had to work during the day, but I got the girls ready and met my parents and sisters at the parade! Remi had so much fun. The loud horn still scared her like it did the last 2 years haha. But she loved the candy. She filled a paper sack 100% full!
Me and my cute girls
I had so much fun getting the girls ready. My sweet mom got them both their adorable outfits!
This is definitely my favorite holiday!

After the parade, we went over to Bonnie and Beaus for a BBQ and swimming!

Later that evening, Eli came home from work and we go ready for a BBQ with my parents and sisters.
We had steak, chicken, corn on the cob, baked potatoes, jello salad, fruit salad, and some yummy cupcakes!
Remi had grapes and cupcakes for dinner! :)

Me and my love. Eli was mad I changed out of my festive outfit. ;)

We visited and hung out until it got dark and then we lit off a bunch of fireworks in our front
yeard. It was so nice to just stay at home and enjoy the evening with our family!

Poor Livvy was trying to open a glowstick and it squirted right into her eye!
Luckily we got it all washed out and it didn't hurt her too bad.

I finally got Remi to do a sparkler with me!
She was a little bit afraid but did awesome!
See the video below to see how nervous she was!

I am so thankful for the freedoms we enjoy! We are so blessed to live in the USA!
Happy Fourth of July!
