Brixton is 6 months!

Brixton turned 6 months on December 9th! Can't believe another month has gone by. Brixton is getting so big. She weighed 18 pounds and is 26.5 inces. About 80th for weight and 75th for height!

She is now sitting on her own and loves it! She loves to play with toys. She has so much fun in her baths. She kicks he legs like crazy and splashes all over!

She is still eating baby food and cereal. He favorite foods are bananas, sweet potatoes, and pears. She has had applesauce but it wasn't her favorite. She has tried sweet peas and she gagged and threw it up! She is not eating quite as often anymore. About 4 ounces ever 2.5 hours. She has baby food or cereal 3 times a day now as well!

She likes to growl at us and is so giggly and smiley. My favorite thing is the screeching thing she still does. If you give her a kiss on her neck it makes her mad and she screams.
She also screams if you take something away from her or she really wants something she sees but can't quite get it (my phone usually!)

She is still sleeping AMAZING at night. About 7:30-7 :)
She is also napping so much better during the day. Usually two 30-45 minute naps and sometimes one hour nap if i'm lucky!
Brixton is such a mama's girl. She loves her daddy, but as soon as she sees me, I am all she wants. It can be exhausting sometimes, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.
She loves her big sister Remi. Her face lights up with a smile everytime she sees her sister.
We love you Brixton! You are so smart and sassy already. Can't wait to see what you learn this next month.

Remi Coon!

Oh Remi! Where do I ever being with you? ;)
This little girl has me and Eli laughing so hard that our stomachs hurt...every single day!
Here are some of her funnies of the month ;)

We were on our way into town when Remington saw a cop.
She said "Mom, cops will take you to jail, put you in the oven, and eat you all up! Daddy told me that!"
She has also become quite the back seat driver, and she tells me to slow down and be careful the entire time we are in the car, ha ha!

When I am cooking and go to put something in the oven, she warns me to be careful because the oven is hot and it will burn me. She is so sweet :)
She also said this the other day when I got her up in the morning...
"Mommy, you are the best mom in the whole world forever. And I love dad and I love Brixton."
I love these special moments so much. She is constantly telling me that she misses me and loves me. I am so lucky!

We had a fun FHE lesson last week. I printed out pictures of eyes, mouth, hands, ears, etc.
I had her pull one out of the bag and point to that body part. Then I held up a picture of Jesus and had her point it out on him. We explained to her that Jesus is a real person that is always there for us.
She grabbed the picture of Christ and hugged it so tight. She said "Mommy, can I hold him for a really long time? Can I take it to my bed?"

I got so teary eyed, and feel like I actually learned more that FHE than Remi did. She continually teaches me everyday!
Another thing with the picture of Jesus....We were having one of those hard days where there are endless tantrums and cries. She refused to dance at her dance class and just screamed for an hour straight. We came home from dance and I laid her down for a nap. I went up to check on her and saw her out of her bed. I was a little upset, but before I could say anything, I saw the picture of Jesus and then another one( a little girl praying) laid out on her pillow. She also had the picture frame of the temple sitting on her bedside stool.
My heart just melted. I could not be upset at this sweet little girl. She doesn't mean to have bad days and the lord has trusted me with her. I should always remember him and have him close to me, just like Remi has been doing.

Remi is an amazing big sister. She wants to hold her all the time.
If I have to run out of the room for a second, Remi says "I will babysitt her mommy!" haha!
The other day, I had just got out of the shower. Brixton had woken up from her nap, and so while I was getting dressed, I heard Remi
"Brixton, sh sh sh....I am right here, you don't need to be sad."
I looked in and she was holding Brixton's hand and had given her her binky.
<3

She is so silly and full of life! I love her funny sense of humor and little giggle!
She loves to make up songs on her play guitar and she has quite the voice for a 2 year old!

She absolutely loves her puppy, Milly, and had been learning to feed her and brush her hair.
She also loves to dress up! Notice the tiara in this picture!

Remi helps me all the time. Dishes, sweeping, wiping the table, you name it!
She also loves to help me cook and bake still.
Her favorite toys right now would have to be her barbies and purses.
She is very into putting things in purses or backpacks, and hauling them around where ever she goes.
She has also loved coloring more than ever and can draw circles very well!

She can now count to 10...but misses the 4! We are working on that one ;)
We are officially potty trained during the day. We go to dance, run errands, church, and she has only had a couple of accidents!
We are working on night time. :)

Did some dishes by herself!

She sure loves her sister! They will be the best of friends, I just know it!

I love my little sidekick!! Remi is so sweet sensitive, smart, caring, funny, and beautiful!
I am so blessed to be her mom. I have had so much fun watching her grow. I love this stage we are in right now (Isay that with each stage!) She has one of the best memories I ahve ever seen. If you tell her something, she won't let you forget it!

It is really so good to have someone to talk to all day. She talks so well, I feel like I am having some adult convo sometimes! ;)

Love you bug!!!

Brixton is 5 MONTHS OLD

This little sweetie turned 5 months old on November 9th!

She is such a joy to our family. I don't even know what we would all
do without her sweet personality!

Lately she has become quite the mama's girl. I can't complain!
She loves to take her naps in my arms most of the time, and wants to be held constantly.
I love it because Remi didn't love to be cuddled this much when she was this age, so I am soaking it all in as much as I can.

This past month, Brixton has learned a ton of new things!
She is getting really good at sitting up by herself for short periods of time. She doesn't need my help much! She rolled over for the first time just a couple of days from being 5 months. Eli had her on her tummy on our bed and she rolled right over!
She has been doing this squeal type of cry, almost a shriek lol. Especially when I say the word "ba ba" and show her her bottle.

She freaks out and starts crying and starts reaching for the bottle. She puts her arms and legs out straight and grabs it. She can pull it to her mouth and hold it for a little bit by herself!
She is still really good at grabbing toys, my hair, pretty much anything she sees and putting it straight in her mouth!

She still loves to lay under her toys and sit in her excer saucer!
She loves to play toys and read books with me and Remington as well.
She is starting to jabber a lot now. She sits and blows bubbles for long periods of time, it's so cute.
When ever Remi walks up to her, she gets happy immediately! Or when Eli gets home from work she gets excited when she hears his voice. Yesterday, he sat down by her and she reached both hands and touched his face and smiled. Ahh it melted my heart! ( my girls have the BEST dad BTW...:))

She is laughing so much lately as well! She laughs hard when Remi dances in front of her or jumps around. She finds it quite hilarious!
Yesterday, Barney our dog, was licking her hands and face and she was laughing a hard little belly laugh! So cute.
She is still eating every 2 hours. About 4 ounces. Sometimes she only goes 1 1/2 hours, and we are really pushing it if she goes 2 1/2 or 3 ha, ha!
She eats rice cereal twice a day as well.
She sleeps from about 7:30- 6:30. She hardly wakes up to eat anymore.

Brixton is such a sweet little spirit. I love seeing her experience new things each day. She is growing and learning so fast, I am not ready for it! I want her to stay my baby...
But as I have seen with Remi, it goes by WAY too fast and before you know it they are almost 3.
I am soaking up each and every moment, every cuddle, giggle, cry, and smile that I can.

Love you Miss Brixton! So thankful you are in my life and I can be your mommy!

This was my sweater when I was a baby :)
Sunday Selfie with this cutie pie

They are already best friends
"Is there something on my face? What ya lookin at mom?? :)

Her EARS!! Ahhhh I die <3

Sleeping beauty
I seriously love these cuddles

She rolled over! yay!

And more cuddles! No complaints here :)

4 Months Old, Baby Brixton!

Brixton turned 4 MONTHS OLD on October 9th!

A few days after she turned 3 months, we put her in her crib in her own room.
I was really nervous at first, because of her reflux, but she did amazing!
She loves it and has no problems choking or anything.
She goes to sleep around 8 or 8:30 and usually gets up for a bottle and about 5:30 and sleeps until 7 or so. Sometimes we are lucky and she sleeps all the way to 7 ;)
She is eating so much! ha! She still eats about every 2 hours, 5 ounces. SOMETIMES she will go 3 but she acts like that is starving her.
She tried rice cereal twice and the first time she didn't really care for it, but the second time, she loved it and ate the whole bowl all gone!

She is still smiling at us and has started to giggle a lot. She had her first belly laugh when we were throwing a little basketball in to a hoop. She thought it was hilarious watching Remi run and chase it and throw it again.
She is getting better at grabbing things and everything goes straight to her mouth. She loves to lay under her toys, sit in her exersaucer, sit in her bumbo and play with Remi, and of course cuddle with mommy. She is such a mamas girls. If I go out of her sight for one minute she is not happy!

She is learning to grab her toes now and hangs on to them all the time. She is attempting to roll over as well. She can even sit up on her own for a short amount of time.
When we lay her on the couch or a pillow, she can almost pull herself up to sitting. She is so strong.
She loves light up toys and books. Loves music and football ha! (She watches daddy's games with him)
We just love her cute little personality. She definitely makes our family feel more complete. I can't believe how much she has changed since she was born, but it is so fun to watch her grow to each new stage. I love her so much!!!

Remi asked if Brixton could sleep in her bed :) She shared her stuffed animal with her.

Check up! Dr. said she is perfect. 15 lbs and 14.5 ounces & 25 inches.
81 % for height and weight :)

I can't even stand those cute ears!!

The funny things of Remi

Today was a beautiful fall day. Before lunch me and the girls went out to get some fresh air. The dogs were running and playing, the kids at recess were laughing and playing. I was cuddling Brixton feeding her a bottle with the sun on my face. The air was crisp but warm and all of the tree are turning colors. Remi was running around playing and laughing and calling me mommy! She was also pushing her play mower around and telling me
she mowed part of the yard and then was off to her photo shoot.

I thought in the moment how bad I wish I could just freeze time for a bit and be in that
moment forever. Where my kids want me to play and be by their side.

Remi is so funny I can't even handle it. Today she looked in the mirror and said "I am frickin adorable" while I was doing her hair. Oh dear!!!
She says the cutest things like "
"dont worry about it mom" or "we will do it next week."

She tells me that when she gets bigger that she's going to go to girls camp.

Today she got her Elsa costume and kept saying "
oh my gosh!! My dance teacher is going to love this!".

The other day I was feeling exhausted and down.
I was tearing up on the couch a little.
Remi hugged me and said "mom are you crying because I am not little anymore? I am sorry mommy but I have to be big. I can't be little anymore."

OH MAN, PULL AT MY HEART STRINGS WOULD YA!?

But then there was the day when she locked me out of the house.... that was a fun one! Luckily I had the car keys with me. Making some spares in now on my to do list! She can also open her own door to her room and jumps on our bed and wakes us up each morning.

The other day she was playing in her room. I put Brixton in her bumbo by Remi while I went to the bathroom.
I gave Brix a stuffed animal to hold. When I came back in Brixton had a toy of her own from her room and I noticed the stuffed animal high on the top of Remi's pile of other stuffed animals.
She told me they switched haha. We are working on sharing ;)

I think it is safe to say that Remi is potty ya trained! Yay!
(During the day, that is.)
She told me the other day that her poo looked like a helicopter. :)

At the doctor's offive they have a little toilet for kids.
She thought it was THE COOLEST thing ever and talked about it the entire way home.
I couldn't help but share this picture.

I hardly ever watch TV. So the other day I decided to sit down and watch an episode of cupcake wars. After one episode I decided to start another. Remi walked over to the xbox and turned it off. She then told me "That is enough for you."
I wonder where she got that from???

This post is kind of everywhere, but I want more than anything to hold on to this sweet stage of life with my Remi girl. She is so sweet and smart. She makes me laugh until I cry pretty much everyday. She has such an imagination and it is growing more and more each day. She is as girly as they come, and is the BEST big sister ever. I am so proud of her, and I am so thankful I get to be her mommy!
