9 months old

She is such a beautiful little girl.

Remington turned 9 months old on the 26th!
Remi has learned to do so much this month.
 She can now:

-crawl
-pull herself up on couches
-roll over every direction
-sit up from stomach to her bum
-sit up in her crib
-copy her daddy's beat boxing
-copy us snapping our fingers
-copy us when we laugh or cough
-throw fits when you take something away from her
-hits and pinches
-gets in to book shelf and pulls them all out
-points when you tell her no
-loves her puppy boo & screams at it when he is far away
-throw ball back and forth
-throw back on bed when we say "whoa!"
-clap hands to "patty cake" and "yay"
-dance to music...which is just bumping her body back and forth
-eat bananas, beans, crackers, and avocados all by herself
-says "dadada" ALL the time. Especially when Eli gets home from work
-when I say "ahhhh" she copies me in a cute little voice
-she has the cheesiest smile ever. she scrunches up her nose and smiles

LOVE her more than words can express.
I have the best friend that I get to hang out with all day. :)

Eli's Birthday!!

Eli turned 23 on January 24th! We had a fun day. French toast (his FAVE) in the morning and then we went shopping  Eli got some new pants, a watch, and a hat!
Then we hit up the Great Wall for lunch. Our favorite restaurant together!
We headed home and just relaxed and enjoyed the day as a family. I thought it would be fun to deck out our house in batman birthday decorations. So I got most of them set up while Eli took a nap.
When he woke he helped me put up the streamers. He loved them!
I made Eli Strawberry shortcake, another favorite of his! We had our families come over to celebrate with us. He got some great gifts. Money, Dr. Pepper, a sweater, and a scrapbook of his mission from his sister Katie. His dad gave him an AWESOME gun and I got him Settlers of Catan.
My parents watched Remington while we went to Les Mis. I had already seen it. Loved it the first and the second time of course. And Eli LOVED it so much. He was biting his nails the whole time. That's when I know he likes a movie. :)
We had a great time and Eli had a great birthday!

New Years in Salt Lake City

On New Year's Eve, we left early in the morning and drove to Salt Lake. We were meeting my family down there because they were already down there visiting my dad!
We got to the hotel and got settled in. We went to Wendy's and ate and then headed to the Gateway Mall.
We had so much fun looking around at all of the stores. It wasn't even that cold!
Later that afternoon, we went to Temple Square and went to the song along that they had going there.
IT was so much fun! Remington was sitting on my lap singing and dancing along as well.
We walked around and looked at all of the lights. It was so beautiful and I got some great pictures!
We went and saw dad and had strawberry shortcake! We had a great time visiting and Remi took her first forward crawl in front of Grandpa Mallard!
We said our goodbyes and went back to the hotel. My sisters went swimming, and me and Eli and Remi stayed in the room and had some sparkling cider and watched the ball drop! Remi was wide awake. She didn't want to miss bringing in the new year!!
She had a really hard time falling asleep in her pack and play, so Eli had to wheel her up and down the hall in her stroller before she finally fell asleep!
We got up the next morning and headed home! We stopped in at the Layton mall. We had so much fun walking around looking though all the stores. We decided to eat in the food court there and I am not even kidding when I saw we had the BEST food EVER! It was a Japanese place. We got chicken/shrimp veggies and fried rice. They gave HUGE portions for only $6 each. I definitely want to go there again someday. Remington slept the entire way home. She woke up just as we pulled off of the freeway in Idaho Falls.
We had a good time spotting deer and listening to music on the way home. LOVE trips with my little family.
And I am very excited for the new year.
My resolutions this year are very simple.
I want each and every day to be more productive, in all areas of my life!
Happy New Year Everyone!!

Random trips and fun times

**WARNING** Picture overload!!
I have been so behind, and I have been taking so many pictures, and so this post will
mostly be pictures of some things that we have been doing.

Remi in her new pj's.
She is constantly waving. At. Everything!!

Her hair always cracks me up.
I have given this little stinker two hair trims already, but it just keeps on growing!
I love her bed head when she gets up from naps.

Love this picture of my loves.
Remi is such a daddy's girl!! The other day, I went in to Best Buy while Eli was working to say hello.
We took Remi out of her carseat and let her see her daddy.
As soon as it was time to go, she cried the instant that he handed her back to me.
She screamed the entire time I tried to buckle her in to her carseat haha.

Here she is again, waving! She is so good at doing it when ever she hears the work Hi or Bye Bye.
What a smartie pants!
When ever I would bring her out from her room she would wave at the Christmas tree.

I can definitely tell that she is my daughter whenever I look at pictures of us.
I love seeing myself in her. It makes me realize that I had a part in creating her. I play a part in raising her and making sure she becomes all that her heavenly father wants her to become.
A pretty huge responsibility if you ask me.
Motherhood has definitely changed me for the better. Sometimes ya it's hard to see my friends carrying on with their fun social lives and college. But I immediately realize that there is nothing else, and I mean nothing, that I would rather be doing than spending my time as Remington's mommy.
We have so much fun each day playing, cuddling, laughing, crying (sometimes not so fun) and just hanging out together. I LOVE being a mom and a wife and am so happy with my life!

My grandma Mallard brought this back from Guatemala for Remington.
She looks so cute and old wearing a back pack.
Before I know it she will be heading off to kindergarten with one of these!!
*Tear*

Lately, all she wants to do is STAND! She is getting very good at walking.
The other day she stood for probably 4 whole seconds on her own.
She has very good balance and I wouldn't be surprised if she walked before she crawls!

We were able to go and spend the night at Eli's oldest sister's house, Rebecca, and hang out with their AWESOME family! We had a lot of fun visiting, eating delish food, playing settlers of catan, and watching a movie. I had such a great time!
Here is a picture of Calvin, Remington, and Mollie.
You could tell that Mollie was so excited to have another girl join her in the house full of boys.

Loved this view and immediately got my camera out!
Isn't it gorgeous!?

I got out to take pictures of the geyser and Eli and Remi
waited in the car because it was chilly!

Not the best family picture, but here is the Mallard Family with 2
new additions in it since we took our last one. Oh man how I love my family.

We had so much fun on our little trip to SLC.
I got some pretty cool pictures of the temple!

Eli is pro at walking the stroller! ;)

Baby and daddy

Remi and daddy looking at Jesus
Ok so right when we walked up to the Christus, Remington just sat and waved the whole time we were standing there. When we walked up close to him, Remi just stopped and was so still and silent, and put up one little wave. I am glad we got to come here because it reminds me that Remi is the Lord's sweet daughter and he has entrusted in us to take care of her. She was just with him not to long ago. It's so crazy to think.

Dec. 2012- Coon Family- SLC

Awesome sister missionaries!
The sister missionary in the middle knew a missionary that served with Eli in London!
Her sisters fiance to be exact!

Trying so hard to crawl!

Sweet shades from GPA Mallard

That's yummy!

Pretty girl with sweet peas in her nose!

Me and Rem on a walk. It was such a nice day, I swear it felt like spring! But the next day it snowed!

Have a good one!!
