Four Months Old

Wow! Four months old already!! Time is getting faster, I swear! Remington is growing up and developing such a sweet and sill personality already.
At Remington's FOUR month check up she weighed in at a whopping 15 pounds and 8 ounces. She is now 24 inches long! She is still a shorty. Sh is in the 75th percentile for weight, and the 25th for height haha...it's all my fault baby girl, i'm sorry! :)
This past month, she has definitely become an excellent sleeper! She is usually in bed between 8 and 9 and will sleep until 6 or 7. Sometimes she even sleeps from 7:30 pm to 7:30 am.
Sorry folks but this is kind of a big deal for us!
She has been very vocal this last month. She has started to laugh at us a lot more, and she is always smiling. She is starting to coo to us as if she is telling us stories. When we go to get her from her crib in the morning, she lets out a big squeal, smiles, and kicks her legs.
Just this last month, Remington has also been getting really good at standing on my lap with our help. She is getting so strong.
Remi is very good at reaching and grabbing for things, and now her new thing is to eat anything that she can get her hands on!
Right before her four month birthday, we tried rice cereal for the first time. She did an ok job, I just don't think she understood why we had to use a spoon. She also tried sweet potatoes and seem to like them. I don't think she is quite ready, but we will keep trying!
The other day she rolled over from her back to her stomach, but her arm got caught and she didn't make it all the way over.
Her new thing this last month is to be sitting in her carseat to drink her bottle. She doesn't not like me feeding her!! I just wanna cuddle her, darn it! I take advantage of cuddling her in my arms WHENEVER I can!
Remi's favorite toy right now is empty water bottles. She sits and crinkles them as long and I can stand. ;)
She is still enjoying our reading time, and her toys that light up and sing to her.
I am so excited to see what the next stages bring for my baby girl!
She is so strong and healthy and such an amazing contribution to our family!

This picture makes me giggle so much. Caught her off guard with the flash!! :)
Happy 4 months Remington Jo!

ReCOONion 2012-- Palisades

I looked forward to the annual ReCOONion so much this year. We hadn't taken Remington camping yet, so we were so excited. My dad gave us his pop up camper, and we couldn't wait to try it out. I forgot to take a picture of the truck and camper all loaded up, but I really wish you could've see it! We had Eli's little truck all loaded up in the bed, the camper hooked up behind it, and a flat boat and canoe on top of the camper. Talk about a HEAVY load! We were gassing up at the 6/12 and we ran into a friend of ours. All he had to say was, "You guys sure are brave."

So we headed out on our way!! Squished in Eli's little Ford pickup. The reunion was at Palisades, which is only an hour drive from our house. It is such a beautiful drive. I love going on drives with Eli. He is always on the look out for deer. I enjoy our talks that we have together! Soon enough, we arrived safely! The truck did awesome pulling all of our stuff. We got to the campsite and got everything set up!

Right above our campsite was a huge herd of sheep.
It was really neat to watch the cowboys herd the sheep with their dogs.

We spent the day at the lake. There were tons of blow up toys and boats for all of us to enjoy. We set up a little tent for the babies and had a good lunch. Me and the girls all went out together on tubes and paddled around the lake. It is absolutely gorgeous up there! Funny moment: All of us girls decided to jump off of our tubes and when we did, we were all freaking out paddling so hard. We thought that we couldn't touch and treaded water for a while. Then all of a sudden we all stand up and realize the water was only waist deep!! Good times, good times... :)

Eli and Truman in the teeter totter

Barney was basically in HeAvEn!! He ran and ran and ran and ran......ALL day long! There were four other dogs there and they all played the entire time. Barney is not much of a swimmer. Eli kept trying to take him our into the water, but he would swim standing almost all of the way upright. It was pretty funny! Barney played so hard that he would hardly eat anything. We would have to kennel him so that he could eat his food!

Caught Jerry taking a snooze... zzzzzzzzzzz...

Remington insists on having the blanket over her whole body, including her entire face, while she is sleeping. Even in the heat... in a tent... she still insists! LOL.

Here is our little camper! We enjoyed staying in it so much! We stayed pretty warm for the most part. Eli would get up in the night and turn on the stove for a while until the camper was heated up nice and cozy! Remington got a whole bed to herself. Can we say spoiled much??

A little friend came to say hello in broad daylight!
It was BATman :)

This is the dog that lives with the herd of sheep. While we were playing in the water, it came down to get a drink. We walked over to pet it and get a closer look. I wish I would've gotten a better picture. It was such a beautiful dog, and it was HUGE!!

The Coon Clan

We live in such a beautiful land! We are so blessed to be so close to all of this amazing country! I enjoy camping and being in the outdoors so much. It gives me a time to reflect on all that I have been blessed with and all that Heavenly Father has given to us.

Eli's awesome truck and our awesome camper!!

What would I do without this man? He is such an amazing husband and father! What is more attractive than your husband feeding your sweet baby? ;)

Oops! Jerry snoozing away again... :)

Long day at the lake! Worn out!

Reward ceremony for the kids and doggies!

Remington received the award for "Luscious Locks"

Since Barney was the fastest dog there, of course he received the award "Speed Racer" ;)

Love this baby girl to PIECES!! Had such a great time camping with her and our family!

BATMAN!

Duh-nu-nu-nu-nuh.... BATMAN!!!

Right before the new Batman came out, Eli and I watch the first two movies.
Then we went to Edwards with Josh and Katie Kunde.
For all of those that know my husband....
This was kind of a BIG deal.
Eli basically IS BATMAN!

Since we have such a plethora of Batman shirts, it was only right that we both dress up for the movie.
It was AMAZING! Action packed and kept me awake the entire time haha...
For those that don't know, I have a really hard time staying awake when I watch a movie and I am tired.

Our awesome friends!!
Love spending time with these guys.
So thankful my mom could watch Remington so that we could have a little date night!

My favorite summer treat

It's not summertime until I have a tinfoil dinner! Me and Eli piled on the carrots, onions, hamburger, and potatoes! Eli got the coals nice and hot, and we started cooking them.
It was a beautiful evening and we were enjoying our time outside together.

Here's Eli cooking our delicious meals!

Happy Family!

She is such a little character.
Just chillin' outside, waiting for the food to cook!

We are goofballs! This may be a little cheesy but....
He is my very best friend and I am so glad we share and enjoy the same things as well as teaching eachother new things! I have so much fun with this man. Glad I waited those 2 long years...now look where we are!

Remington loves her daddy. He is such a great father! Couldn't have asked for a better husband and dad.

Fisnished product!!
SOOO YUMMY!!!
Can't wait to make another one.

Roadtrip

A few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to drive down to South Jordan Utah for Eli's mission president's homecoming! We left on Saturday night when Eli got off of work and we went and hung out at his sister Ali's house for the night. On Sunday morning, we got up early and drove the rest of the way.
It was SO much fun meeting everyone before sacrament started.
I got to meet almost all of Eli's companions except for a few.

After sacrament we all headed over to the Shamo's house for lunch and visiting.
Everyone got in a huge circle and sang O Jerusalem (A song they all sang on the mission).
It was really neat. We had so much fun visiting everyone and getting to know them!
