I "mustache" you a question!

Sharla asked if I could snap some pictures at Jamen's birthday party.
The kids all had so much fun with the cute mustache theme that Sharla did.
Enjoy the picture over load!
I so glad that Remi has all of these cousins to grow up with.
She loves them all so much and gets so excited to spend time with any of them! :)

Diabetes scare & 29 weeks

I had my monthly check up at the doctor a couple of days after I got home from the scrap retreat.
This check up included the delightful glucose test! (Not!)
So I got up that morning, ate some breakfast and took my drink.
I drank it over the bathroom sink because unfortunately this time I kept gagging and spitting it out!
Remi sat by me and kept telling me "Mommy, it dus duce!" (It's just juice!)

When the doctor came in with the results of the test, he said, "You have diabetes, and we don't think that it is just gestational. We are referring you to the welness center at EIRMC this week for another test."

I was pretty shocked and scared, but was ready to make changes to my diet and lifestlye if needed.
Two days later, the wellness finally called to schedule an appointment. It was for the next day and it was at
1:30 pm. I was asking around and talking to family and a lot of people said that you are supposed to fast.
They never told me that, but I thought I should call and check in case.
Turns out I was supposed to fast for 12 hours :(
This seems pretty impossible for me, especially when I am pregnant.
I called me doctor and they were annoyed that 1- didn't tell me to fast when they originally set up the appointment and 2- that they were making me wait until the afternoon when it should be done first thing.

So my doctor's office set up another appointment at their office in the morning.
It was the 3 hour test, and after taking it, my numbers were all low and they told me that I didn't have any kind of diabetes!

I got to thinking...before I took the first test with Remi, I was told no sugar etc.
I didn't exactly follow that the second time and had sunny d and pancakes (with syrup) right before my test.

Moral of the story, don't eat TONS of sugar before your glucose test, and you
won't have to go through any of this!
I am grateful it turned out to be a false alarm.
(I promise that I don't normally eat that unhealthy!) :)

Here is my baby bump picture at 29 weeks!!
I cannot even wait to meet this little girl of ours!
Remi tells me every day "Bebe hone!"
(Baby home!)
She also tells me that she will change her "poot" diapers for me.
I absolutely love feeling her moving in my belly. She is quite the acrobat lately.
Remi kisses and hugs it all of the time.
I can't wait to see her as a big sister even though I have the hardest time realizing that Remi is not my baby anymore. Not too much longer! Can't wait.

Scrap Retreat

I was finally able to attend the scrap retreat!
Twice a year, some of my family members put on a scrapbooking weekend just for
ladies! It is a perfect getaway! Hot tub, TOO many sweets, crafts and projects, laughing, LITTLE sleep,
new friends, wonderful family, and a beautiful location.
It is held at Cub River Ranch a little past Preston.

The last time I went, I took Remington with me. This time I was kid free and it was heavenly!
I love my sweet girl, don't get me wrong, but it was a much needed break.
I slept in until 10:30, ate my food before it got cold, and sat in one spot for hours on end crafting, eating, and laughing with some of my best friends!!!

Here is a picture of the whole group :)

Sharla and I ventured out for a little walk and I took a few pictures a long the way.
This little spring was so pretty and GREEN! It made me want summer so bad.

Sharla, Me, and Mallory are all pregnant with baby GIRLS!
Love these two so much!

Maverick and Haper are to say the least, quite edible!!
They were such good babies the entire time.

I got a lot of Eli's mission scrapbook done &made TONS of hairbows for my girls.
I had such a wonderful time and I am counting down the days until the next one in September!

Silly Remi and 25 weeks!

Today Remi and I did a little organizing downstairs, (I am in complete nesting mode) and while we were doing that we watch the audition scene for pitch perfect.

Anyways, quite a few hours later, we were up in Remi's room playing and all of a sudden she yells at me to sit on her toy box. She walked over and stood on the plastic lid, to one of her toy containers, and grabbed her toy microphone.
She started shaking her hips and singing so loudly, I couldn't hold back my giggles.

She yells, "No! Cap! Cap mama! (clap)

So the whole time she was singing, she made sure that I didn't stop clapping until she was done singing.

Then she insisted on it being my turn. We went back and forth like this for a good 20 minutes until I couldn't get up and down anymore!
It dawned on me a little later that she was most likely copying the scene from Pitch Perfect!

That little stinker sure knows how to make me smile! One of my favorite things to do is to sit in her room with her and watch her imagination run wild! She is so smart and has such a good imagination.

Watching a movie with her daddy. She kept reaching up and stroking his beard :)

We are so anxious to meet our little girl! Remi is constantly tapping my belly saying "Baby, out! Out!"
The baby was kicking a couple of days ago and I tried to let Remi feel it but baby stopped.
I told Remi that she was sleeping and we would try again later. So now whenever we talk about the baby all Remi says is "No she seepin'. She seepin mama."
It's so cute!
She talks about how she will change her "Poot" diapers :) and feed her ba bas. She is also very excited to have someone to play barbies with. I can't wait to see her as a big sister!
I am feeling alright for the most part, but this pregnancy has definitely been a LOT harder than Remi's.
I am very uncomfortable and still nauseous all of the time.
That's ok though! It will all be worth it, and I cannot wait.

Car seat and bath seat are washed.
Crib is set up.
Now all we need is to give her room a fresh coat of paint and find her a dresser!
15 more weeks! ;)

Me with Remi at 25 1/2 weeks

25 weeks and 3 days!
