Remington's First Birthday!

I need to cut her hair ;) But she's still a cutie!!

We started a tradition the night before Remi's birthday, and we filled her room up with balloons! When she woke up the next morning, she was so excited and kept saying ball, ball while pointing at the balloons!
She had a blast playing with them and carried one with her where ever she went the whole rest of the day!

Love her sassy faces she pulls!
We had a delicious breakfast with whole wheat pancakes and strawberries for breakfast with daddy before he headed to work! Then she hopped in the bath and took her balloon with her of course! I love how she gets when I pull my camera! Such a cheesy grin going on!

Running around chasing her just to get a diaper on this muchkin! Still holding her balloon!

Cute bib I got for her! Snack time! :)

We had a pretty relaxing day! Played toys, read books, and went to the park! Remi loves to go on the swings. We turned on music and danced and played all day while we waited for dad to get home!

We invited family over to the park for cake and presents.

Yummy! Grandma Mallard's home made chocolate cake recipe!

Remi had a lot of fun opening all of her presents. A little too spoiled I might add but we are thankful for everything that everyone brought for her!

Daddy reading her a card :)

Eli is showing Remi the scrapbook that I made for her of her first year.
I took picture every month during my pregnancy and then I took pictures of Remi each month and wrote down what she was doing. We have pictures from the hospital and a little survey that Eli and I took making guesses about our baby before she was born. Then at the end we put in the letter we wrote Remi the night we came home from the hospital. I may not be a scrapbooker, but I think I can handle at least one year of my kids lives. ;) I want to do this for each child!

A little hesitant about the cake at first!

Good thing she had her helpers there!! :) :) These three made me giggle. All of them just kept digging into the cake and shoving their faces! I am so glad and feel so blessed that Remi has so many cousins, especially so many close to her age to grow up with! My cousins my age are my best friends!

Scar put some cake in Blaire's hair! tehe :)
LOVIN' her chocolate cake.

Of course Eli shoved our baby's face in her cake. And of course she though it was hilarious!

Messy face!
Olivia (my sis) and Kennedy (my niece) Look so much a like! We put glasses on Ken and it was freaky !

Crawlin' and walkin' all over the park! It was such a beautiful day!
Rem got this pool for her birthday and all of these balls!

OoOoOo I just love doing her hair!

What a cheeser!

Remington Jo Coon and Mommy.
Well, another year has gone by and our lives are filled with so much joy and love! Remi, I have had so much fun watching you grow and learn this past year. I am so proud of you. I know I say that all of the time, but you amaze me at how smart, happy, and loving you are. You complete our family 100%. I honestly don't remember what it was like without you in our family.

I still remember what it was like to find out I was pregnant. I still remember what it felt like to feel you kick for the first time. I still remember what it felt like to find out you were a girl! But the moment I will never ever forget is when I finally met you for the first time! I pulled you up on my chest and told you over and over that I loved you. Your little cry was so sweet and soft. You were absolutely perfect. When I held you, I felt like I had known you forever. I'm sure I have. :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY my sweet little bug!!!

Love, Mom
